Vinci

The town of Vinci at the base of Montalbano consists of a hilly area full of vineyards and olive groves supported by terracing wall dry. Vinci made famous for being the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, whom the Library Leonardiana arise, the centre of studies and leopardiani Leonardiano Museum, consisting of the large collection of models of Leonardo's inventions. The oldest part of the village, plant almond-shaped, while looking straight assumes the shape of a boat with two trees. The historical part the town takes its name from this peculiarity, called precisely "Castel of Nave."
